Cancer of the kidneys that typically occurs in children

Clinical presentation

  • Painless, palpable abdominal mass
  • Loss of appetite
  • Abdominal pain
  • Fever
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Haematuria

Investigations

  • USS initially, CT/MRI for more detailed imaging

Management

  • Resection +/- radiotherapy depending on stage
