- Triggering factors: emotion, change in temperature
- Pathophysiology uncertain, transient changes in hippocampus
Clinical presentation
- Abrupt onset antegrade > retrograde amnesia (repetitive)
- Preserved knowledge of self
- Transient 4-6 hours (always less than 24hrs)
