Narrowing of the airway below the vocal cords (subglottis) and above the trachea
Aetiology
- Most commonly idiopathic
- In adults has been seen in association with vasculitis
Clinical presentation
- Progressive breathing difficulty, often exacerbated by exertion
Management
- Division of the stenosis
- If recurrent - resection and reconstruction
